Zagreb and Zadar Music for the People experiences
The recent From Bach to Lennon concerts in Zagreb and Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast were very successful. The aim of all these concerts is to provide musical experiences which are exciting, entertaining and educating. Programming is very important so that a variety of orchestral color and style is presented and so that the energy given out by the players makes a real connection with the audience.
The Zagreb Philharmonic players were brilliant in their performances of small pieces from the traditional repertoire through the lush, emotional full-orchestral sound of romantic works to the foot-tapping jazz and rock feel of works from film and the recording studio. The Croatian audiences seemed to really enjoy these concerts and reacted by wildly clapping, cheering and stomping.
The next Music for the People concerts will be presented as Let's Jazz It Up! The programs will continue to evolve but will still always include the very best from film, theatre, dance and studio.
