A new year of great musical experiences has commenced. As usual, the schedule will be busy and the programs varied and exciting.
The Chamber Orchestra at St Paul's will be back with a Beethoven series at Melbourne Recital Centre. Symphonic Led Zeppelin will be performed with the Melbourne Ballet Orchestra. Symphonic Led Zeppelin will also be performed in Europe over the Northern Summer - probably commencing in Romania. Other large symphony and cross-over concerts will be performed in Croatia and Romania. Baroque works will be performed with the Belmont Ensemble in St Martin in the Fields in London. Australian works will be performed at festivals in Northern Italy commencing in Udine. As usual, there will also be one or two operas in the Melbourne season again this year.
So - I look forward very much to working with my colleagues, old and new, around the world this year. MW
